Robert W. Kranz - Photojournalist
Born and raised in Bong Town, Liberia, West Africa, until the age of 16, he worked freelance for the
"Oberhessische Presse (OP)" in Marburg/Lahn during his high school years in Germany. Later he worked
for the "Trierischer Volksfreund" and spent some time in Paris doing internships at "Magnum" and
"Sygma", before taking up his studies at the Technical University of Clausthal in the field of Mining &
Drilling Engineering. To this day he has worked in various fields (eg. nearly four years on oil-rigs, as commercial
diver, as carpenter), the gained experiences of which culminate in his company
"FRONTLINE SERVICES".
He started his work as a freelance photojournalist just over 14 years ago with the focus on News Reportage and the
people 'behind the news'.
He is a member of "Photoguerilla.com", a photographer's database affiliated with the "toppix" search engine. His pictures are also distributed through "SIPA Press"Paris.
He is a member of the german union "FreeLens" and "NPS".
